Media you select
MementoReel accesses only the photos and videos you choose through Apple’s photo picker, audio files you choose through the system file picker, and the permission you grant for saving completed movies to Photos. The app creates local working copies so projects can be edited and reopened. It does not alter or delete originals in your Photos library.
Projects, previews, and generated files
Collection and project names, imported working copies, clip order, virtual split and trim boundaries, crop positions, durations, audio settings, thumbnails, cached photo segments, previews, and temporary or completed exports are stored in MementoReel’s local app container. Cache files may be removed automatically when they are no longer needed.
Exporting and sharing
A movie leaves MementoReel only when you choose to save it to Photos or share it using iOS. Apple and the app, person, or service you select may then handle the video under their own privacy practices. Free exports include a visible MementoReel watermark; eligible trial and paid Premium exports do not.
Subscriptions and Apple services
Apple processes purchases, free-trial eligibility, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment information. MementoReel receives transaction and entitlement status from StoreKit so it can determine whether watermark-free export is active. MementoReel does not receive your full payment-card details. Apple handles this information under Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
The MementoReel app does not include third-party advertising, cross-app tracking, or third-party analytics.
Data sharing and sale
MementoReel does not sell your personal information or media. MementoReel does not operate a server that receives your imported media or movie-project contents.
Deleting local data
Deleting a project or Collection removes its saved project record. Unreferenced working media and generated cache files may be cleaned up by the app. Deleting MementoReel removes its local app container. Videos previously saved to Photos or another destination must be deleted separately from that destination.
Children’s privacy
MementoReel is not designed to collect personal information from children. Media and project data stays in the app’s local container unless the user chooses to export or share a movie.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when MementoReel’s features or practices change. The updated policy will be published here with a revised effective date.
